ACS’s Approach to Individual Therapy and Counselling
Welcome to Armstrongs’ Counselling Services (ACS) webpage describing ACS’s Model of Individual Therapy.
Introduction
We, Murray and Donna Armstrong, are avid learners and over our careers have synthesized many different approaches and techniques into our own unique styles. Our website and this webpage specifically, provide you with an overall understanding of how we work with our clients. Types of Issues
We have a combined 60+ years of working with human issues: Below is a list of the main types of problems we have dealt with:

Limitation of Services
Issues that ACS is not willing or able to deal with are psychotic behaviors. These are best handled by the expertise of a psychiatrist that has the benefit of prescribing medications or hospitalization to assist clients.
Specialization
Murray is known for his specialization in men’s therapy. He offers individual sessions or experiential group training: “Creating Deeper Connection”. Murray is also specialized as an in depth marriage and family therapist with individuals, couples or relationship group training: “Co‐Creating the Relationship You Want to Come Home To”.
Donna is known for her specialization in women’s counselling and experiential group training: “Women Embracing Wholeness: Level One & Level Two”. Donna is also specialized as a relationship counselor with individuals, couples or a relationship group training: “Co‐Creating the Relationship You Want To Come Home To”.
Over the course of their career, Murray and Donna have been drawn to two therapeutic approaches: Voice Dialogue, Psychology of the Selves and the Aware Ego Process and Advanced Integrative Therapy. These two approaches have allowed Murray and Donna to guide people through a large variety of problems and issues as they developed their own model of therapy and counselling which Armstrongs’ Counselling Services is proud to offer.
